Drama of two Serbs in Libya continues: Kidnappers demand money and weapons?

Two abducted officials of the Serbian Embassy in Libya are located in a house on the outskirts of the city of Sabratha, "Večernje novosti" have learned, reports the Patria News Agency.

According to the Belgrade newspaper, Serbian security services are in constant contact with the Libyan authorities, and through them with the kidnappers.

However, the release of the Serbian citizens is complicated by the fact that the kidnappers are constantly changing their demands.

"Večernje novosti" state that the Serbian ambassador Oliver Potežica has set off for Tunisia to evacuate his family.

- His wife and sons were being evacuated for security reasons. The Serbian ambassador received information that the situation was not favorable and decided to withdraw his family. They left for Tunisia on Sunday and from there they were supposed to transfer to Belgrade, the source of the Belgrade newspaper states.

It is believed that criminal groups connected with police factions are behind the abduction of Slađana Stanković and Jovica Stepić, and their demands reportedly relate to money and weapons.
