Dragan Mioković (NS) is no longer Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament

(Patria) - Dragan Mioković (Our Party) has been removed from the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliament.

Mioković's removal at this evening's session, which began yesterday, was supported by 56 representatives, nine abstained, and 16 voted against.

Results of electronic voting

After the electronic voting, the head of Our Party's representatives club, Mirsad Čamdžić, expressed doubts, so a roll-call vote was initiated.

The results of the roll-call vote also showed that the majority of representatives supported Mioković's removal: 58 voted in favor, 12 abstained, and 15 voted against.

The initiative for his dismissal was launched by the representative clubs of HDZ-HNS, HDZ 1990-HNP, as well as representatives Mario Karamatić (HSS) and Slaven Raguž (HRS).

The reason was Mioković's statement during a television appearance, in which he said that "a small number of Croats were killed" at Bleiburg.

This statement of his caused sharp reactions from political parties with a Croatian prefix, which assessed that it was inappropriate for a person holding the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Mioković soon publicly apologized for his thoughtless statement, but this was apparently not enough for him to remain in the position of the head of the Federal Parliament.
