Dragan Čović on the SDA's Appeal

ZENICA, (Patria) - President of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH) Dragan Čović said today in Zenica that the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska has been recorded under that name since 1995 and that behind the opening of the issue of changing the name, initiated by the SDA, there is another goal. 
He believes that this could be instability or the opening of discussions between representatives of the two peoples.

- I am not delving into what Bakir Izetbegović's idea was, but I have a habit of saying - there is no better patriotism than constitutional patriotism in BiH. I fear this is one of the moves we have seen several times, such as mobilizing Bosniak parties around the revision of the lawsuit, even though we knew that was a closed chapter, the story about the Pelješac Bridge and the like. We must protect BiH, but that should be a common need of all legitimate political representatives elected in elections, and we will find solutions for all issues. If it is just a whim of one individual or one policy, I fear it will end in a similar way as before. We have damage, and that is the growing mistrust - said Čović.

Čović also spoke about the formation of the new House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, stating that he sees no obstacle for it to be formed in the next seven days so that the Budget of the Federation of BiH can be adopted in that house as well and that salary and pension payments are not jeopardized.
