Dr. Topic: Bosnian authorities must better use the Holy See's favor towards our country

Professor Franjo Topic criticized the Bosnian authorities for not using the Holy See's favor towards our country more and better, for the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its approach to the European Union, even though it has all the predispositions for that.

In a statement to the Bosnian news agency Patria, he said that Pope John Paul II mentioned Bosnia and Herzegovina in his speeches as many as 263 times, which is not the case with any other country, while Pope Francis has shown friendly intentions towards BiH from the very first day.

The very announcement, notes Professor Topic, that Pope Francis will visit our country next year, speaks of how great friends Bosnia and Herzegovina has in the Vatican.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vjekoslav Bevanda, attended the beatification of Pope Paul VI in the Vatican a few days ago. After a meeting with high officials in the Vatican, he said that the Holy See is interested in the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that he also discussed the visit of Pope Francis to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which should take place next year.

- Pope Francis was supposed to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina during the sixth month of this year, but postponed his arrival due to the unrest that occurred in February of this year. The arrival has been moved to next year - says Dr. Topic.
