Dr. Dizdarević: Council of doctors treating Tihić at KCUS is led by a traumatologist, which is unacceptable

The council of doctors treating Sulejman Tihić, president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo is led by Prof. Dr. Zoran Hadžiahmetović, a traumatologist. This was pointed out by professor of neurosurgery Kemal Dizdarević, who said it is an unprecedented scandal.

- A traumatologist has nothing to do with oncology patients, and what they are doing at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo is unprecedented, unheard of, and scandalous – warned Dizdarević, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The president of the SDA has been battling a serious illness for some time. Several days ago, his health condition worsened, after which he was again admitted to KCUS. As Patria learns, the family requested that Tihić's treatment be led by Professor Dizdarević, who had previously cared for his health condition, but since this neurosurgeon has been in a legal dispute with KCUS for some time, other doctors took over Tihić's treatment.

- Unfortunately, no one contacted me regarding Tihić's health, even though I monitored his condition for a longer period; KCUS does not even give me information about his condition, everything I know is from conversations with Tihić's family – Dizdarević told Patria.

When asked whether this means Sulejman Tihić is not receiving adequate treatment at KCUS, Dizdarević said he does not know: "You can draw your own conclusions from this," he said, writes NAP.
