Dr. Cerić sends Eid greeting to Reis Kavazović

On the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan Eid, Dr. Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent a greeting to the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in our country, Husein Kavazović, reports the Patria news agency.

Dear Haji Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović,

I sincerely and joyfully congratulate you, muftis, imams, and all Muslims on Ramadan Eid with the words: „Bajram šerif mubarek olsun“, wishing that your Eid days pass in good health, pleasant mood, and brotherly care.

I am convinced that the moral renewal inspired by the Ramadan fast will encourage all Muslims to resolutely continue building a society of strong moral values and ethical standards. Only in this way will the principle of responsibility for public affairs, the fulfillment of entrusted duties and promises, and giving everyone their due be fully applied. Without moral values and ethical standards, it is impossible to achieve social justice and harmony.

The Islamic Community preserves and promotes the essential moral values necessary for the healthy development and moral life of society. Its role is irreplaceable, and therefore everyone should preserve it and further develop awareness of the importance of the moral deposit of the Islamic Community, which is available to all who wish it. Preserving the freedom and autonomy of the Islamic Community, so that it, along with its imams, can continue to fulfill its role as a moral corrective, should be a self-evident fact for every Bosniak who has the ambition to perform public duties or act from the position of Bosniak national, cultural, and intellectual interests.

Dear Haji Reis-efendija, I want to assure you that you have my support in your endeavor for the moral renewal of our society and I am ready to contribute to that path. Aware of the challenges our people face today, I place all my abilities and experiences at the disposal of the good of all, because it is the moral obligation of all of us to give the best of what God has endowed us with, for the general good of all people of good will. I am convinced that together we can restore hope, regain trust, and preserve the honor and pride of our people. Therefore, I take this holiday opportunity to tell you that you can always count on my support and help in your honorable duty as Reis-ul-ulema, for the joy and happiness of all members of the Islamic Community, as well as all people of good will in the homeland and the world.
