Dr. Cerić visits the USA

Dr. Mustafa Cerić, an independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is on a four-day visit to the United States of America, reports the Patria news agency.

During his visit to New York and Washington, Dr. Cerić will hold a series of meetings and deliver several lectures at prestigious American institutions and universities.

Dr. Cerić will, among other things, speak at Georgetown University on the topic: “Religion, Peace, Conflict, and Governance in the 21st Century”, where he will point out societal differences, new ideologies, and the role of religion which is once again taking on an important role on the global geopolitical stage, as well as the turbulent beginnings of the 21st century, especially concerning the Middle East and the Western Balkans.

Dr. Cerić will also speak about the connection between religion and politics in modern society at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington.

During his visit to the United States of America, Dr. Cerić will also meet with numerous representatives of the government and non-governmental sectors, as well as representatives of Bosniaks in New York.
