Dr. Cerić: Fate is exclusively in our hands

Dr. Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a pre-election rally in Munich last night at the invitation of Bosniaks living in that city, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- Our goal is to unite Bosniaks around the world, and especially to unite Bosniaks in our homeland, because today we are the most divided people in every respect - politically, economically, culturally, intellectually, linguistically, and in every other way - emphasized Dr. Cerić, adding that the current campaign is not focused solely on the upcoming elections.

- This is a movement, this is a mission that we Bosniaks must accomplish, a mission we must accomplish for those who come after us. We must unite politically, unite all the parties that have become divided over petty, small interests, over small and insignificant chairs - stressed Dr. Cerić.

We need to be clear, he added, „that Bosnia will be as much as Bosniaks are aware of their statehood“.

- Therefore, I tell you that the question of all questions is to have a strong state. Only in a strong state can you have a strong people, who will not fear for their faith and nation - said Dr. Cerić.

At the rally, he also stated that those who invoke Tito should be clear that Tito is no more, but also that those who expect „the Mahdi to appear from behind the hill“ should be clear that this will not happen.

- We must understand that fate is exclusively in our hands and that our problems and our destiny cannot be solved by anyone but ourselves - emphasized Dr. Cerić.
