Dr. Cerić: Symbolically from Bobovac, we send a message to the youth to fight for a strong state

Dr. Mustafa Cerić, candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH, is holding an election rally tonight at Bobovac, the most significant and best-fortified town of medieval Bosnia, reports the Patria News Agency.

As he pointed out in a statement to Patria, Dr. Cerić stated today at Bobovac, where they "remember our thousand-year tradition and to show Bosniaks that the past, present, and future are in their hands".

- This was fertile land, and when the seed of statehood is sown, it grows well. That is why I came to this place. We will connect this place with AVNOJ in Jajce, and conclude in Visoko, the cities of Bosnian kings. I call on the youth to understand that what we are doing, we are doing for them, and they must strive and be prepared to make sacrifices for a strong state. Only nations with a strong state are recognized in the world, and then there will be no fear of a new genocide - says Dr. Cerić.  

Edhem Bičakčić, vice-president of the Assembly of the Islamic Community, noted that Bobovac fell with the arrival of the Ottomans, and that medieval statehood, which occupied the largest area at that time, was lost then.

- In this way, we want to renew the memory of historical moments and make this place an attractive tourist destination for all those interested in the history of the people and Bosnia - emphasized Bičakčić.
