Dr. Cerić: I cooperated with Radončić, but my only friend was Alija Izetbegović

I did not run for the title and salary, but because I love this country too much to watch it fall apart in silence, said Dr. Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in an interview with the portal Klix.ba, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

- I have no party behind me, but I have morality, a clean slate, sincere intention, a dedicated and professional team of people, and a burning desire for every individual in our country to feel happy and satisfied. Don't you see? Some who have a party behind them do not have what I have listed. So, from the announcement of my candidacy until today, I have met people who restored my faith in this country, renewed my own enthusiasm, and encouraged me to believe in success – said Dr. Cerić, among other things.

Answering a question about the work of current and former Bosniak members of the Presidency of BiH, Dr. Cerić said that there is no need to speak about it separately.

- Their work is visible. Let the people speak about it at the elections. However, if I were to express myself in sports jargon, I would say that a striker who does not score goals should be replaced. If the coach cannot do that with his authority, then the audience will do it - from the stands and at the polling stations, of course – he added.

Asked to comment on his relations with his opponents, including Fahrudin Radončić, president of the Alliance for a Better Future, Dr. Cerić said:

- As for Radončić, I do not avoid talking about him, but I think there is no need to talk about anyone. Of course, while serving as the reis-ul-ulema, I cooperated with Radončić, just as I did with other public figures, and I am grateful to Radončić for the support he provided me in Avaz. The fact is, however, that I did not maintain close friendly ties with any politician or public figure, except with the late President Alija Izetbegović“.
