Dr. Cerić: Vote with your heart, soul, mind and honour!

Dr. Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, addressed voters in our country ahead of Sunday's elections, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

- Election day is approaching. These elections are crucial for the fate of our country. In them, you decide whether we will continue to be enslaved or be free, whether we will go to Europe or remain isolated, like a black hole of Europe in the Balkans. What I have said throughout my entire campaign, I repeat now – you decide your own destiny and the destiny of all of us! No one can do that instead of you - Dr. Cerić stated.

Dr. Cerić also urged voters, when at the polling station, to ask their heart and soul whom to choose.

- Ask yourselves whether you will entrust your trust to those who, through their previous inaction, have shown and proven their own incompetence, arrogance, haughtiness, insolence and greed; to those obsessed with their own status and their own interest, or the interest of the political party or option they come from. Alternatively, you can vote for those who are ready to give their all, use their knowledge, experience and connections, but also their honour, for the good of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all the people who live in it and call it their own - Dr. Cerić's message states.

We are the only ones who presented concrete and realistic plans for resolving the crisis at our rallies. We did not turn our backs on the friends of our country, and we are the only ones who received clear support from friends in New York, Washington, Brussels, Zagreb, Priština, Ljubljana...

I am especially addressing the youth and appealing to those who will exercise their democratic right – the right to vote – for the first time.

- Dear youth, think! Will we all build a better tomorrow together, or will our young people continue to seek happiness abroad? Believe in your strength and a wise choice. Together we can build a better world, a happier and more successful state. My dear Bosniaks, I also appeal to you. Remember that we will not be slaves; our salvation lies in freedom. Therefore, do not allow them to blackmail you and "pull the wool over your eyes". Be smart and confident in yourselves. Be convinced that a better tomorrow is possible, only if you want it - Dr. Cerić said.

Just as I appealed during the campaign for a fair and honest pre-election race, so now I appeal to all political entities, to all candidates, to be fair and honest, to respect the importance and dignity of the electoral process. Cheating in voting and vote counting - electoral engineering, cannot bring anything good. Power obtained through ill-gotten means cannot be good or successful power - Dr. Cerić warned.

Therefore, my dear Bosniaks, my dear Bosnians and Herzegovinians, use your heads and take your pencils in hand. By all means, go to the polls on Sunday. Do not let the spirit of apathy and hopelessness deceive you. We must find a way out ourselves and fight for it. Vote with your heart, soul, common sense and clean honour! Think of yourselves, your offspring and our one and only Bosnia and Herzegovina - Dr. Cerić urged.
