Dr. Cerić: Bosniaks will not be Bakir's slaves

Dr. Mustafa Cerić, independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, held a final rally at Sarajevo's Skenderija, from where he sent a message that Bosniaks will not be slaves, neither Bakir's nor anyone else's, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Speaking to those present, Dr. Cerić said that the entire people of BiH are infrastructure, and that we are a nation that has the right to a state, a people that has the right to a strong statesman who will lead the state from the abyss to success.

- We will work on the path from dynasty to democracy, from subjects to statesmen, from shame to purity. You are on the right path, from Bosniak chaos to all-Bosniak unity – Dr. Cerić stated.

He emphasized that BiH should be represented by proud and honorable politicians who know, can, and want to do that, and that the time has come for the unification of the Bosniak people.

- Amir Zukić (Secretary General of the SDA, editor's note) cannot be the measure of our faith and our morals – said Dr. Cerić, calling on Reis-l-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović to preserve faith from corruption and abuse of the statement “if you don't vote for one party, you are not believers.”

He also noted that Reis Kavazović called for not voting for intruders.

- I hear in the election slogans words like strength, unity, for a strong Sarajevo, but I only see failed cantonal companies, the sorrow and despair of workers – said Dr. Cerić.

He called on voters to be smart on October 12, but also emphasized that he “has no nuts in his pocket, he hasn't stolen votes or anything else.”

Incidentally, former Presidency member Stjepan Kljuić also gave his support to Dr. Cerić's candidacy.

- We defeated the external enemy, but there is an internal enemy. Before every election, it creates a difficult atmosphere. There are honest people who love this country, who know, Dr. Cerić is one of them – said Kljuić.

He also said that the situation these days is more dangerous than in 1992, because those who fled have returned and that he “prays to God that the owners of houses in Poljine are awakened by the cry of murdered Sarajevans.”

- Dr. Cerić will work for good Bosniaks and other citizens of BiH. He has more capacity than any of the candidates. You have a historic chance, don't miss it – said Kljuić, who, as he pointed out, often had exchanges with Dr. Cerić, from which great respect emerged.

Also attending the final rally was Edhem Bičakčić, president of the coalition “Snaga Bosne”, who gave his support to Dr. Cerić's candidacy.

- Why should Dr. Cerić be supported? Because among the candidates, he is the best in terms of education, capabilities, and references. He will work 24 hours a day, and it will be a race that others need to catch up to. BiH needs honest and responsible leadership. Changes will happen if we realize that we are that change – said Bičakčić.
