Đonlagić: With the EU flag, the HZHB flag was also displayed

MOSTAR, (Patria) - The President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović met today in Mostar with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.

After the meeting with Wigemark, Čović told reporters that he informed Wigemark about the talks within the Bosniak and Serb scenes regarding the formation of government and expressed "a clear commitment, as far as HDZ is concerned, that the EU and NATO path is a strategic interest of this party."

"I informed him of our position on the Election Law of BiH in terms of preconditions for EU membership and ultimately for the establishment of government in FBiH," Čović said.

The Head of the EU Delegation said after the meeting in Mostar that the authorities in BiH should focus on implementing election results and not raise additional tensions.

Wigemark said that this is another in a series of talks with political representatives in BiH on forming government at all levels, starting from cantons, entities, up to the state level.

He emphasized that the formation of government is important for the European Union, as BiH has submitted an application for EU membership, and the European Commission is expected to prepare an opinion on the application in the spring.

"It is primarily important that the election results are implemented," said Wigemark.

During the meeting between Wigemark and Čović in the office in Mostar, the flag of the European Union and the flag of Herceg Bosna were displayed.

"It is hypocritical, scandalous, and unacceptable to allow yourself to have the unconstitutional flag of so-called Herceg-Bosne displayed alongside the EU flag you represent in BiH, whose highest military and political officials have been convicted of a joint criminal enterprise as war crimes," commented the Vice-President of DF Dženan Đonlagić, reports NAP.
