(Patria) - Delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Dženan Đonlagić (DF) was a guest on tonight's edition of the show '7 Plus' Hayat Television.
Đonlagić spoke about the changes that the replacement of delegates in the Serb club in the House of Peoples will bring to their work, after the BiH Central Election Commission awarded the fifth mandate to a PDP candidate through a draw.
- Of course, after the draw, it is first necessary for the CEC to formally complete the procedure by holding its session, at which, according to the law, it will revoke one mandate and award another.
This is a process that awaits us in the coming period, and I think that after that, SNSD will appeal to the BiH Court, so all of this will take some time until a new delegate comes to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
Moreover, SNSD has the option to block work by not attending sessions of the House of Peoples with three delegates and thus prevent it.
However, regardless, I believe that the decisions of the institutions must be respected and that in the end, this new delegate will formally be the fifth delegate in the Club of Serbs in the House of Peoples - explains Đonlagić.
He notes that the official campaign for the Local Elections in September is ahead of us, and then the elections in October, and it is questionable whether the new delegate will enter the House of Peoples by then.
- I will also remind you that Dragan Čović is the presiding officer, so it is unknown what his dynamics of scheduling sessions will be, but I think there are slim chances that the new delegate will join before the Local Elections.
But, regardless of all that, my assessment is that this government at the level of the Council of Ministers will continue to work as before, i.e., without major results - says Đonlagić.
He believes that the "Trojka", which is gathered around SNSD and HDZ, is actually a government under mentorship.
- This is not a government by the will of the citizens, so regardless of the change of delegates, I think this composition of state government will remain the same, although formally and legally SNSD is no longer an unavoidable factor in power and it is possible to initiate a change.
However, it should be reminded that Dodik is in power by the will of the "Trojka" because when forming the government, it could have been formed without SNSD.
Therefore, SNSD was very consciously chosen by the decision of the "Trojka", and my assessment is that this government will not change until the general elections in 2026.
One can only hope that the citizens will give the main assessment of how this government worked in 2026 at the General Elections - adds Đonlagić.
