DONJA GRADINA Day of Remembrance for Victims of Ustasha Crime, US Envoy Yehuda Kaplun Arrives

(Patria) - The central part of the Day of Remembrance for victims of the Ustasha crime against Serbs, Jews, and Roma is being held in Donja Gradina. Serbian Patriarch Porfirije served a memorial service and prayer for those killed in the Jasenovac concentration camp system in the Independent State of Croatia at the Donja Gradina Memorial Site.

Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism Ambassador Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun paid respects today to the victims at Jasenovac and commemorated all victims of Nazism and fascism during World War II.

The ceremony is also attended by the special envoy of US President Donald Trump for combating antisemitism, Yehuda Kaploun. He was welcomed by BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović.

Also arriving in Gradina were Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić with members of the Serbian government, representatives of Israel, the leadership of Republika Srpska, members of the RS government,

Also present is the Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov, while members of the diplomatic corps laid flowers and paid tribute to the victims earlier this week.

In Gradina are also descendants of surviving Jasenovac camp inmates, citizens, and students.
