New regulation on unified police uniform for police forces in the Federation of BiH adopted

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH at today's session in Sarajevo, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Interior, adopted the Regulation on the unified police uniform for police forces in the Federation of BiH, which prescribes the appearance of the unified police uniform for all police forces of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The appearance of the unified police uniform includes parts, content, description, sketch, color, insignia, and other elements defined in the technical specifications.

The regulation stipulates that the unified police uniform for police forces in the Federation is a police uniform that may be worn or used only by police officers of the Federal Police Administration and the cantonal ministry of interior while performing duties and tasks within the competence of that police authority.

The regulation also defines the colors of the uniform, as well as the insignia.

It is also prescribed that the police uniform consists of a basic police uniform, namely a classic and a work uniform, then uniforms for the criminal police, for special police units and specialist support units, as well as for units of other names performing tasks of the same type, including work and tactical uniforms, and uniforms for the intervention police and for units of other names performing tasks of the same type, as well as ceremonial police uniforms, police uniforms for work abroad, and additional parts of police uniforms.

Among other things, the regulation prescribes the issuance of the police uniform, its replacement and lifespan, then the wearing of the uniform, as well as the wearing of badges, insignia, decorations, and medals on the ceremonial uniform.

Certain types of uniforms and parts of those uniforms are prescribed, as well as the technical specifications of those uniforms, and the method of changing police insignia is also established.
