Host Ambassador Pammer: Conference 'Legal Framework for Islam in the European Context' in Sarajevo

The international conference "State and Regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Austria: Legal Framework for Islam in the European Context" begins tomorrow in Sarajevo, taking place on September 28 and 29 in the Gazi Husrev-beg Library.

The conference will be opened by the Austrian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Martin Pammer. He is also the host of this conference.

Sebastian Kurz, Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria, will also send a video message from Vienna.

"This academic conference is part of the extensive program 'Austria-Bosnia and Herzegovina Year of Culture', whose goal is to awaken knowledge and mutual understanding between our two countries and to develop perspectives for further cooperation in the fields of culture, science, and economy in the future." This will be one of Minister Kurz's messages, NAP reports.

The conference will also be addressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Igor Crnadak, and the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH, Adil Osmanović. On behalf of the religious communities, the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazović, and Monsignor of the Catholic Church, Mato Zovko, will speak. On behalf of the Orthodox Church, parish priest Vanja Jovanović will speak, as well as Jakob Finci, who will speak on behalf of the Jewish Community in BiH.

A large number of religion experts from BiH and abroad will also speak during the two-day conference, NAP writes.
