House of Peoples of PSBiH: White Bread Abolished

The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) at its 15th session adopted the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Benefits in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was proposed by the House of Representatives of the PSBiH.

The adopted amendment to the Law provides for the deletion of Article 48 of the Law on Salaries and Benefits in the Institutions of BiH, which stipulates that "elected officials and officeholders, after the termination of public office, are entitled to compensation for the extension of their employment status until they acquire employment status with another entity or meet the conditions for retirement, for a maximum of one year starting from the date of termination of office".

The Law on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Ministries and Other Administrative Bodies of BiH, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, was adopted.

The House postponed the discussion on the Bill on Strikes of Employees in the Institutions of BiH in the second reading, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, until its next session. In this regard, the House of Peoples also adopted a conclusion that leaves the Constitutional-Legal Commission of the House of Peoples of the PSBiH the possibility to potentially amend the text of this legal proposal at its session.

The House of Peoples of the PSBiH did not adopt the Bill on Associations and Foundations of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the second reading, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The principles of the Bill on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, were supported.

The House of Peoples of the PSBiH took note of the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Reform Agenda at the level of the Council of Ministers of BiH, compiled by the Council of Ministers of BiH.
