House of Peoples of the PSBiH on stricter penalties for foreigners, appointment of the BHRT Management Board...

(Patria) - The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is convening in Sarajevo, and delegates are expected to consider the request of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH to review the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Foreigners under an urgent procedure. The proposed amendment to the Law on Foreigners, adopted by the House of Representatives in January, aims to achieve, through general prevention, a deterrent effect on migrants from committing criminal offenses and misdemeanors with elements of violence and violations of public order and peace during their stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the agenda is also the Appointment of members of the Management Board of the Public Radio-Television Service of BiH from the Bosniak, Croatian, and Serbian peoples, which is one of the planned agenda items.

The terms of the current members of the Management Board of the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mufid Memija, Zoran Krešić, and Dejana Radovanović-Šarenac, expired on February 2, 2021.

The Agency Council, at an extraordinary session held on December 30, 2020, adopted the ranking lists of candidates, as follows:

The House of Peoples of the PSBiH is also expected to consider the Report on the Performed Audit of Effectiveness on the topic: "Digitalization of TV Signal in BiH," submitted by the Audit Office of the Institutions of BiH, and the Report on the Performed Audit of Effectiveness on the topic: "Planning and Implementation of Employee Training in BiH Institutions."

Also planned is the consideration of the Report on the Reviewed State of Financial Operations of Political Parties in 2018, submitted by the Central Election Commission of BiH.
