House of Peoples of PSBiH: No Bosniaks in the leadership of the Parliamentary Committee for Stabilization and Association

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The ruling majority at the state level, consisting of the "trojka", SNSD, and HDZ BiH, proposed one Serb and two Croats for the leadership of the Parliamentary Committee for Stabilization and Association between the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the European Parliament.

The fact that neither the Chairperson nor one of the two Deputy Chairpersons of the Committee is a Bosniak was pointed out at today's session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH by the Chairperson of the Club of Delegates of Bosniak nationality, Šefik Džaferović (SDA).

- If anywhere we need to point out the ethnic structure of the bodies elected by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, it is the House of Peoples. This parliamentary committee has 13 members, of which three are Bosniaks.

How do you explain this? It is beyond all possible criteria. I see that through this decision, people from other nations have also been included in the so-called Bosniak representation. People who belong to the pro-Bosnian political bloc, undoubtedly.

And secondly - where is the Bosniak, at least for the deputy chairperson of this committee of Snježana Novaković-Bursać? On what criteria are the deputies Zdenko Ćosić and Mia Karamehić-Abazović, a person belonging to the Croat nation? Where is the Bosniak, or do you think it should be like this?

Therefore, I propose that Dženan Đonlagić be elected as one of the three leading officials in this committee, and I propose that he be the chairperson, or that he take the place of the second deputy. This would at least slightly rectify the mess you have made in appointing these delegations - said Džaferović.

With the votes of HDZ BiH, SNSD, and Kemal Ademović from NiP, the composition of the commission as originally proposed was nevertheless adopted.
