House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Report on the identical text of the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions

(Patria) - The House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Report on reaching an identical text of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, submitted by the Joint Commission for Harmonizing the Text of the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, number: 01,02-02-1628/25 of 18 May 2026.

The Speaker of the House, Kemal Ademović, thanked the delegates for attending today's session and announced that publication in the Official Gazette of BiH will follow, whereby the law enters into force.

The law enables retroactive payment of salary increases after the adoption of the BiH Institutions Budget for 2026, due to the increased base as of 1 January 2026.

These amendments to the law do not cover officials and elected officeholders.
