HOUSE OF PEOPLES OF PS BiH Additions to the agenda again a stumbling block among delegates, Čović interested in state property

(Patria) - Today's session of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA was marked by a certain discussion about additions to the agenda, but also threats of leaving the session.

Head of the Bosniak Caucus Šefik Džaferović requested that the agenda be supplemented with the item on amendments to the Election Law of BiH, which have already been adopted by the House of Representatives of the BiH PA.

Dragan Čović, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples, today asked the Minister of Justice of BiH Davor Bunoza about the prohibition of disposal of state property and called on the High Representative to withdraw that decision.

He said that this is necessary to ensure that "the economy can operate and develop normally, and that investments can be made, all until politics is mature, aware, and responsible enough to pass an appropriate law".

He said that the issue of state property transcends all the problems that have been discussed in the last four years.

"This is not about millions but billions of marks just in the Federation of BiH," said Čović, while stating that there is no political environment to pass a law on state property.

Previously, before Čović, Davor Bunoza, Minister of Justice of BiH, said that he had held a meeting with representatives of municipalities and cities in the Federation of BiH and that he was shocked by the problems they are facing.

He said that investments are practically halted because local communities cannot dispose of property, not even city building land in their territory.

He emphasized that there are investors who have invested millions of KM in certain lands and that problems, including million-dollar lawsuits against BiH, could arise.

Želimir Nešković (SDS) called on the Collegium of the House to allow the House to declare itself on the additions to the agenda.

Safet Softić (SDA) stated that those who swear by BiH (Konaković, Helez, Forto) are not present at the sessions of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA, and praised the ministers and deputies from the HDZ who attend almost regularly.

He asked the Collegium what they plan to do with about ten started sessions that have never been concluded.

"If you do not plan to continue, then you were obliged to put them on every subsequent session. You give us no explanation. You choose some items, you don't put the ones you don't like on the agenda, and then you resent it when we propose some items. No one mentioned the dismissal of SNSD staff today. And again we have a problem, because we already hear that if something is included on the agenda, someone will leave the hall," said Softić.

Čović took the floor again.

"I want to ask you not to create an environment where we get bogged down and leave the session again. The only thing left for us is to follow the Rules of Procedure," said Čović.

He also referred to the proposed law on the regulator of electricity and the electricity exchange and announced that he has nothing against Brčko but that it will also be in Mostar.
