(Patria) - The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to make a final decision today on whether smoking will be banned in enclosed public spaces.
At the continuation of the previously interrupted session, the Bill on Control and Limited Use of Tobacco, Tobacco and Other Smoking Products will be considered today.
If the Bill is passed, the law will enter into force within 18 months, which will be the deadline for caterers and others to adapt their operations.
Legal entities that do not prohibit the use of tobacco will be fined up to 5,000 KM, and individuals who consume tobacco and tobacco products in enclosed public places will be fined 100 KM.
The session of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH begins at 12:00 PM.
