(Patria) - An extraordinary session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament is scheduled for April 15, and the agenda includes only one item: the Bill on Amendments and Additions to the Law on the "South Interconnection Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia" Gas Pipeline – urgent procedure.
The House of Representatives adopted the amendments to the Law at an extraordinary session on April 8 with 79 votes in favor, two against (SBiH), and one abstention.
The amendments to the law plan new branches to the gas pipeline, specifically from Kladanj to Tuzla.
The name of the investor, the American company AAFS Infrastructure and Energy LLC, registered in Sarajevo and wholly owned by the American company AAFS Infrastructure and Energy LLC, is being introduced into the text of the law, and BH-Gas, which was supposed to be the project holder, is being eliminated as a public enterprise.
While awaiting the adoption of the amendments and additions to the law in the House of Peoples, the FBiH Government has already adopted the text of the Agreement with amendments and sent it to the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia must sign an intergovernmental agreement on the construction of the South Interconnection gas pipeline, and the signing itself is planned for the end of April; however, the Presidency of BiH also has a role in intergovernmental agreements, which, at least for now, is lagging behind events.
