House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH on the set of energy laws

(Patria) - Delegates of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will hold only the third regular session on Monday, where they should consider, under an expedited procedure, the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Treasury Law in FBiH. The agenda also includes the rebalancing of the FBiH Budget, but given that federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić withdrew this material for revision from the previous session of the House of Representatives, the House of Peoples will not consider it either.

The reasons for adopting amendments to the Treasury Law in FBiH are harmonization with the Budget Law in FBiH and the Law on Internal Audit in the Public Sector in FBiH.

Delegates should also declare themselves on the Proposal of the Law on the Protection of Civilian War Victims in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was adopted by the House of Representatives of the PFBiH on July 25. This is one of the most important laws which, as explained at the time, should restore pride and dignity to civilian war victims after 28 years.

Also planned is the consideration of the FBiH Framework Budget Document for the period 2024–2026, and a set of energy laws adopted by the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH at the session on July 6.

These are the Proposal of the Law on Energy and Regulation of Energy Activities, the Proposal of the Law on Electricity in FBiH, and the Proposal of the Law on the Use of Renewable Energy Sources and Efficient Cogeneration.
