House of Peoples today on dismissal of first deputy speaker

(Patria) - The ninth emergency session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been scheduled for today in Sarajevo, starting at 11:00 AM.

The agenda includes only one item - a Proposal for a Decision on the dismissal of the first deputy speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Its proposers are delegates Nenad Vuković (PDP), Želimir Nešković (SDS), Ilija Cvitanović (HDZ 1990), Zlatko Miletić (ZNG) and Kemal Ademović (NiP).

This concerns the request for the removal of Nikola Špirić from SNSD, who at the time of submitting the initiative held the position of first deputy speaker of the House of Peoples.

As part of the regular rotation, since February 16, Špirić has taken over the function of speaker of the House of Peoples, while the current first deputy speaker is Kemal Ademović.

Given that the proposal for the decision on dismissal only mentions the position of first deputy speaker, and not a specific name, the public has raised the question of whether today the request for the dismissal of Špirić or Ademović will be considered.

On this occasion, Ademović earlier commented on social media, stating, among other things, that the request for removal, more precisely for convening an emergency session of the House of Peoples which they signed, was submitted on February 6, ten days before the rotation in the position of first deputy speaker.

He further stated that the request for Špirić's removal was initiated by the Troika's demand to expel SNSD from the coalition and government at the state level.

Ademović recalled that first Nebojša Radmanović (SNSD) was removed from the leadership of the House of Representatives, then a request was submitted for the removal of SNSD ministers Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić, and subsequently a request for the removal of Špirić (or "the first deputy") was prepared.

"Why was the session scheduled for February 18, and not in accordance with the agreement and the Rules of Procedure, were the names on the request omitted intentionally or accidentally, will the subject of removal be Špirić or Ademović - I do not know, nor do I overly concern myself with it.

I do not participate in coalition agreements, nor do I know the dynamics of negotiations; the leaders of the Troika are driving the processes. They asked me in writing to be part of the leadership of the House of Peoples. If someone is now 'playing games' to have me removed - I forgive them," Ademović stated, among other things.
