The Council of Ministers of BiH decided to exempt citizens whose documents were destroyed in the floods from paying fees for issuing new ones, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
The decision was made at today's session in Sarajevo when, at the proposal of the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of BiH, the Rulebook on the Price of Travel Documents and the Rulebook on Amendments to the Rulebook on the Price of Personal Documents were adopted, which allow citizens from flooded areas who lost their travel documents and personal documents to replace them free of charge.
- The temporary exemption from paying fees for personal documents and travel documents lasts for 45 days from the date these rulebooks come into force - it was stated.
According to data from the Agency for Identification Documents, Records and Data Exchange of BiH, the estimated value of lost and destroyed documents in the floods is 89,162 KM.
