While the FBiH Government stalls the appointment of the KCUS Management Board, a call for applications for the General Director is announced

The call for applications for the appointment of the General Director of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo is announced no later than three months before the expiry of the current director's term and will be open for at least fifteen days from the date of publication in the media, according to the KCUS Statute. The decision to announce the call is made by the Management Board. 

As the Patria News Agency has learned, the text of the call for applications for the election of the General Director is currently being prepared, even though two members of the KCUS Management Board representing the co-founder Canton Sarajevo were changed at the end of August, but this appointment has not yet been considered at a session of the FBiH Government. The KS Government appointed Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović as president and Belma Kapo as a member, replacing Jasmin Kapetanović (president) and Dželaludin Junuzović. It is precisely in this interim period, when the FBiH Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandić does not put this appointment on the FBiH Government's agenda, that the current Management Board wishes to announce the call for applications for the election of the KCUS General Director. Even the urgencies from the KS Ministry of Health for the federal Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandić (HDZ BiH) to put the appointment on the Government's agenda have not yielded results, and the change of the Management Board president and one member has been stalled. 

We remind you that at the beginning of January 2016, the Management Board elected Sebija Izetbegović as General Director, and she was the only candidate. According to the Statute, the director can be re-elected once. The Management Board forms a Selection Committee to conduct the call for applications.

According to information available to Patria, the Una-Sana Canton will also propose new members of the Management Board. However, if the FBiH Government also stops this appointment, it is clear that space is being left for the re-election of Sebija Izetbegović. 

The Management Board of the University Clinical Center in Sarajevo, appointed in January 2017, also includes: Teufik Orahovac, Amer Ovčina, Feriha Hadžagić-Čatibušić, Samir Muminović, Harun Šestić, Nusret Popović, Dalibor Kolak, Amra Karić, and Ankica Kolar-Jurčević.
