While killers walk free, top MUP RS officials sue Dragičević's family

(Patria) - The insolence and arrogance of the top officials of the MUP RS towards the family of the murdered young man David Dragičević continues. Instead of doing their job, they are harassing the victim's family. Dragan Lukač, Darko Ilić, and Darko Ćulum have sued Davor Dragičević for defamation, seeking 8,000 KM each in damages. Confident only when protected by their uniforms, the prosecutors yesterday did not dare to face the family to whom they have already caused too much pain with their unprofessional conduct.

Davor Dragičević's lawyer, Dragan Tolimir, submitted photographs from the autopsy report to the Basic Court in Banja Luka, as well as numerous pieces of evidence that clearly indicate there was no defamation.

- If the body had rolled down the Crkvena river from Lauš to its entry into the Vrbas, there should have been a large number of scratches and cuts on the body, and there are none. This indicates that it did not happen as described and as these three prosecutors stated at the press conference. From this, any reasonable person, and Davor Dragičević as well, could conclude that it did not happen that way and that the Police are hiding something - Tolimir emphasizes.

In the lawsuit filed on May 21, 2018, and supplemented in November of the same year, Dragičević is accused of repeatedly stating during protests in Krajina Square regarding the unresolved murder that the aforementioned individuals were "accomplices in the murder of his son." The lawsuit states that Lukač, Ćulum, and Ilić are family men and respected citizens who perform their duties with honor and integrity.

How they perform their duties was reminded by the group Justice for David. This group reminds citizens of the MUP's press conference and questions how individuals directly involved in the cover-up of David Dragičević's murder can even file a defamation lawsuit against the father of the murdered David Dragičević - states Sofija Grmuša.

Members of the group "Justice for David" appeal to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to take over the case from the District Prosecutor's Office of RS, because, as they point out, it is evident that the investigation is not being conducted and that the aforementioned prosecutor's office is incapable of resolving this case.
