While the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in a blockade, over 500 items are on hold

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The blockade of state institutions, initiated by cadres from RS parties at the end of July 2021, among which is the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has resulted in more than 500 items on hold. 

For months, the appointment of the Police Officers' Appeals Board was awaited, which is why there has been no decision on the appeals of candidates regarding the published list of 150 cadets in the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina since September. The Border Police expressed hope that the Board would make decisions so that the procedure could be concluded.

Also, for months, the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been requesting from the Council of Ministers the renewal of job positions, and this is an institution that generates revenue. Instead of strengthening the state agency, the RS authorities requested the National Assembly of the RS to adopt an entity law that allows the establishment of their own agency. The law was adopted at the end of October.

The law was published in the Official Gazette of the RS at the end of 2021 and comes into effect in six months.

While Bosnia and Herzegovina is in one of the biggest crises since the war and is entering a period of uncertainty, as warned by both the EU and the USA, as well as international creditors ready to approve funds for infrastructure, all projects are jeopardized due to these blockades.
