While excavators tidy up the coast, restaurateurs await the first guests, and the bravest are already swimming in the sea

The only Bosnian-Herzegovinian coastal town, Neum, is preparing for the upcoming season, and everyone in the tourism chain is working at full capacity to welcome tourists in the best possible way and enable them to enjoy their holidays.

A team from the Patria Agency recorded the preparation of beaches using machinery this morning, and part of that team was among the few who dared to swim in the still not-so-warm Adriatic Sea.

The sea temperature in Neum today is between 20 and 21 degrees.

Otherwise, authorities and restaurateurs in Neum started preparations for the first tourists long ago.

Special attention has been paid to the arrangement of the coastal area - the promenade was completed last year, beaches are being further arranged, and the goal is to expand capacities, which, as local authorities state, they cannot do alone. Also, the waste disposal system has been improved by introducing semi-underground containers.

In Neum, a season at the level of last year's is expected, but this will again depend on a number of factors.
