Agreement for agreement: Coalition partners will have marathon meetings by sectors!

In the building of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after two hours, the meeting of the presidents of the coalition parties SDA, SBB and HDZ BiH, Bakir Izetbegović, Fahrudin Radončić and Dragan Čović, ended, who stated that the conversation was constructive and sincere, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The agreement is that marathon meetings will also be held in the coming period with people in charge of various sectors (healthcare, tax policy, infrastructure - highway construction, compensation for farmers...).

When asked by journalists whether the misunderstanding between him and Čović had been resolved, Izetbegović said that it was over and that he did not want such things to happen again.

- There were negative emotions from Čović regarding the meeting in Barci, and we did not act to the detriment of the Croatian people. I defined that the Federation and cantons should be included. We had a frank conversation about a number of wrong assumptions. We will continue to have thorough meetings next week - said Izetbegović.

Commenting on the referendum in the RS on January 9, he said that the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH must be respected, and that the decision of the NSRS is a direct confrontation, obstruction of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and thus of the Dayton Agreement.

- It is irresponsible and unfair to lead the people to vote based on emotions on something that cannot be voted on - said Izetbegović.

Given the large number of decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH that have not been implemented, Izetbegović said that a law should be passed to enforce the implementation of decisions.

Čović, explaining his relations with Izetbegović, said that Croats should be protected by legitimate representatives of Croats in the government.

- The only awkwardness in all this is not a problem when two sides sit down bilaterally, but when they sign something. I am glad that the Coordination Mechanism was finally adopted and I see no reason why this could not have been done two years ago.

He added that parliaments must sit, as well as the Government of the FBiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH, regardless of whether the presidents of the coalition parties agree or not. He also added that the three of them are not enough to solve the problems, but that wider delegations should do so.

Fahrudin Radončić said that as far as the Bosniak bloc and SBB and he personally are concerned, it is an anti-Dayton decision, there is no doubt about that.

- Dodik has brought us into a situation of political adventure and we are running a campaign for him for free among the Serbian electorate because he got the tension he needed before the elections. We will get out of this situation through legal and political means - said Radončić.
