Allocation of funds for the work of consumer associations

This year too, the Federal Ministry of Trade has allocated 70,000.00 KM in the Budget of the Federation of BiH for the implementation of projects and co-financing of regular activities of associations. Five consumer associations applied for the public call for the distribution of funds, and all of them met the conditions for participation in accordance with the published criteria, after which the Federal Minister of Trade Zlatan Vujanović made a Decision on the distribution of funds from current transfers, allocating a total of 66,687.20 KM to the associations for regular and project activities.

Funds were allocated to the Consumer Club Odžak, the Consumer Council of Bosansko-Podrinjski Canton Goražde, the Consumer Club Tuzla, the Association for the Improvement of Quality of Life FUTURA Mostar, and the Consumer Club of Central Bosnia Travnik.

The Federal Ministry of Trade, which is one of the pillars of consumer protection, aims to improve the protection of consumer rights and economic interests, raise public awareness, and increase consumer information through continuous support to associations.

The project activities of the associations have been carried out for 10 years through informing and educating about consumer rights in accordance with regulations governing obligatory relations and consumer rights protection. Consumer associations advise consumers in specific situations, and often mediate in resolving disputes between consumers and traders or service providers.
