On Saturday, October 10, the Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) and the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina will organize a "Family Day" featuring various workshops for children and a performance of the play "Svirala" (The Whistle), reports the Patria news agency.
The "Family Day" will be held at the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina starting at 10:00 AM. The play "Svirala" is based on the story of the same name by Ahmet Hromadžić and will be performed at 11:30 AM. Children from regular schools and schools for special education will take part in the performance.
The activities within the "Family Day" are part of the project "Literature for All Children," which CHwB and the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina are implementing during "Children's Week," with financial support from the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton.
More than 50 students from regular schools and schools for special education in Sarajevo Canton participated in the workshops organized during "Children's Week." All activities carried out during the "Literature for All Children" project were inspired by the literary works of Ahmet Hromadžić and Branko Ćopić.
The stories of these Bosnian-Herzegovinian writers have been adapted for children with various types of disabilities and presented in audio form, sign language, and Braille, as announced by the Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders.
