Dodik's YouTube channel shut down, Twitter removes his blue checkmark

(Patria) - Social network YouTube has shut down the official channel of RS President Milorad Dodik, while Twitter has removed the blue checkmark as a verification badge from his profile.

On the video network YouTube, which can be accessed from the website dodik.net or by clicking on the icon on this site, it is visible that the channel no longer exists and that a warning stands stating it was shut down due to violation of terms of service.

All these networks were contacted by Capital with a media inquiry for clarification regarding their move, and their responses will be published when they arrive.

In the user information regarding profile authentication on Twitter, it is stated that one can lose the blue checkmark at any time for several reasons and without any notice.

Among the reasons listed, it says that the verification badge can be lost due to changes on the profile such as changing the photo, username, and personal data until verification is performed again.

Also, Google states that many Twitter users lost the blue badge because it was not possible to verify their identity, but also due to the earlier intention of owner Elon Musk to charge for this service, from which he soon backed down.

Services for the website dodik.net were also denied by the company CloudFlare, which deals with strategic geographic positioning of website content, i.e., local storage of cache memory at the nearest server station relative to the user.

This service allows a user of a website to access requested content much faster at a precisely defined location. Because of this, the website dodik.net was temporarily unavailable, but after a short time it was reactivated.
