Dodik's friend reveals: Mile stubborn fears only protests

One of the close friends of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, revealed in an interview for the Bosnian news agency Patria that Dodik has recently been increasingly afraid of demonstrations in Republika Srpska, which could mean his early departure from power.

A collaborator of the RS President, who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity, said that demonstrations in the RS would mean the end of Dodik's rule before the general elections in 2018, when it is expected that the SDS and parties gathered around this party will come to power again.

Dodik's own SNSD came to power in 2006, supported partly by the international community and partly by demonstrations two years earlier, when about 15,000 dissatisfied citizens took to the streets of Banja Luka.

The rally, under the slogan “No further - we want change”, was led by Dodik himself, then the opposition leader.
However, citizens in the RS today have reasons for much more massive protests in Banja Luka – the RS debt is about five billion KM, the health and pension funds in this part of the country are on the verge of collapse, almost the entire economy is on its knees.
