Dodik's Viennese devil's pact

Milorad Dodik's paths of political prostitution have led the SNSD leader into a devil's pact with Italian and Austrian nationalists. United in populist views and the fight for the impossible, Dodik's SNSD, Italy's Northern League, and the Freedom Party of Austria have agreed on "cooperation in areas of common interest." And the common interest of all populists in the world, including this trio, is the complete opposite of the goals of the developed part of civilization. Among other things, the Italian-Austrian nationalists are against migration, and the Northern League also considers the EU a dictatorship of bureaucracy. Dodik, in isolation from Western politics, has embarked on another path of downfall.

Changes in the political course of Dodik, once a favorite of the international community and today isolated, have become commonplace. Those he once called war criminals, he now pays from the budget. Only occasionally does the SNSD leader dare to start talking about the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he represents only by chance. His hypocritical behavior was rewarded with whistles from Sarajevo. The duality of his political personality and the most rigid representative of social democrats anywhere in the world has become a phenomenon for political scientists, as well as psychologists. Many see him as the best student of Aleksandar Vučić's political school. He has excellently "absorbed" the knowledge of political prostitution from his mentor.

In Brussels, Vučić and Dodik will promise everything and swear by European values, but with the corner of their eye, they will look towards Russia and everything that is contrary to those European values. Both of them love Putin, more to the detriment of the West than being some kind of link between these two worlds. Populists and nationalists from Italy's Northern League and Austria's Freedom Party fit perfectly into the core of the political activities of the Vučić-Dodik duo. Austrian nationalists also have an agreement with Putin's United Russia.

The common separatist dreams and plans of the Austrian-Italian nationalists and the fake social democrat Milorad Dodik are a path of political downfall. Because hatred towards migrants and the tearing down of borders in a Europe striving for unification is doomed to failure in advance. It is not new for Dodik to play on the edge and test the pulse of the domestic public and the international community. It is only slightly surprising that there has been almost no reaction in the BiH public to Dodik's devil's pact, which also includes those who once advocated for the secession of Republika Srpska from BiH.

Although Dodik, isolated from the international community, has remained only physically and verbally strong, and his political actions are reduced to threats and the production of tensions, Dodik's flirtation with new partners should not go unnoticed by the domestic public and the international community. Because Dodik, no matter how insignificant the nationalists he has joined are, draws strength from this to maintain power in Republika Srpska, and thus be the biggest obstacle on BiH's path to Euro-Atlantic integration. Viewed from the perspective of the current moment in BiH, where Dodik will have the Chairman of the Council of Ministers and ministers in the same, the devil's pact from Vienna could sufficiently endanger the aspirations of BiH's European path.

In a situation of political disarray on the pro-Bosnian political scene and Čović's alliance with Dodik, four difficult years lie ahead for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Whoever survives will tell the tale.
