Dodik's attack on Hill is a scandalous act deserving of all condemnation

The demand by Milorad Dodik, president of the smaller BiH entity, to declare Nicholas Hill, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Sarajevo, a 'persona non grata' is completely unacceptable and hypocritical, believes Dr. Mustafa Cerić, an independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who most strongly condemns such attacks on proven friends of our country and all its citizens.

Dr. Cerić strongly condemns such a scandalous attitude, and the earlier verbal attack by Milorad Dodik, a proven denier of the genocide in Srebrenica, on the American diplomat. Dr. Cerić believes this is an inappropriate act, unacceptable in political communication, and which clearly represents a continuation of the policy of the SNSD and RS leader towards American diplomats.

- The complete lack of condemnation or any reaction from state institutions and individuals to Dodik's harmful behavior is particularly surprising. The USA is a proven ally and friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a key factor for establishing peace and stabilizing relations in our country, and any disruption of relations with friendly countries, regardless of whether it is motivated by an election campaign or any other reason for gaining cheap political points, harms all citizens of our country, including those from the smaller BiH entity - emphasizes Dr. Cerić.

Dr. Cerić expresses full support for the personal activities of Mr. Hill and the US Embassy in our country, especially regarding the urgent and friendly assistance that the USA provided and offered to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the catastrophic floods in May this year.
