Dodik: SDA offers jobs for Skaka's vote, our candidate remains Fazlagić from DF

On the last day of 2015, Thursday, December 31, an emergency session of the City Council of Sarajevo was scheduled, writes the Patria News Agency.  

Although it was initially said that the agenda would include only one item - the adoption of the Decision on Temporary Financing of the City /January-March 2016/, under political pressure from SDA, the first item is the election of the second deputy mayor.

-I don't understand at all why this needs to be urgent. The City has been without a second deputy mayor for ten months, and now it's suddenly urgent. SDA has done this now so that it appears as the first item, and the second is temporary financing. So, if their candidate Abdulah Skaka does not pass, they will not vote for the financing decision, which will jeopardize the further functioning of the City, and violate the Law. Our candidate remains Haris Fazlagić (DF), Vedran Dodik, president of the Independent List for My City councilors' club, told Patria.

Dodik adds that last week at the Collegium he already said that Fazlagić would not be present on December 31 at the session, so it is discrimination from the start, because one of the candidates will not be allowed to present himself to the councilors, if this item is considered. He also points out that it is shameful how the City's reputation is being undermined, that SDA is trading jobs for Skaka's election, and is also jeopardizing the functioning of the City Administration and the council. 

The Chairman of the City Council, Suljo Agić (SDA), confirmed to us that in addition to these two, an item on business premises owned by the City will also be on the agenda.

The president of the Our Party councilors' club, Vibor Handžić, also reacted, warning about political machinations.

-At the end of the regular session, after the mayor withdrew the Decision and the Council leadership prevented democratic discussion on the proposal of councilor Kerlo, an emergency session was scheduled for December 31. The Chairman of the Council, Suljo Agić (SDA), stated at the collegium as a possibility that the re-election of the deputy mayor be included in the agenda of that session, after which it became clear that the Decision was not withdrawn because it was illogical," claims Handžić.

We received information from SDP BiH that the party's Presidency decided to leave the voting decision to the Cantonal Committee of SDP Sarajevo, headed by Igor Kamočaji. 

It is rumored in political circles that certain jobs and positions are being traded, which SDA allegedly offers to councilors from other parties to vote for their candidate Abdulah Skaka. Advisory positions and the deputy director of the Otoka Olympic Pool are mentioned.
