Dodik: Questionnaire is not a priority for Republika Srpska

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said he does not believe that Bosnia and Herzegovina will respond to the European Commission's Questionnaire on time. He told reporters in East Sarajevo today after meetings of delegations of SNSD and HDZ BiH  that the questionnaire is not a priority for RS, NAP reports.

The delegations of the two parties, which included their leaders Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović, discussed internal relations in the country. One of the meeting's topics was the proposal for the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH. Both parties believe that foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH are unnecessary and should be replaced by domestic judges.

Dodik called on all parties in BiH for talks, and if internal issues in the country are not resolved, he said all processes in BiH would be blocked, „and that BiH is not far from collapse.“

Dodik again accused the Alliance for Changes of harming the RS, but could not specify what concrete harm the Alliance is causing to this BiH entity. The SNSD leader also said he supports Croats in BiH, i.e., their efforts to amend the Election Law of BiH.

- We want to return to the basic relationship, the constituent status of peoples, so that no people can be majorized regardless of the force behind those decisions, such as the Constitutional Court. Croats are seeking their positioning, and RS seeks non-imposition of decisions in BiH – Dodik told reporters in East Sarajevo.

Dragan Čović announced talks with other political parties in BiH to obtain the necessary parliamentary support for the adoption of the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH. He said that stabilizing economic conditions in the country is key in the coming period, NAP reports.
