Dodik: In September we expect a decision at the Council of Ministers on foreign judges and the Constitutional Court of BiH

(Patria) - The session of the SNSD Executive Committee on the current situation in BiH, regional and other issues has concluded. The third item on the agenda was preparation for the 7th SNSD Congress, said after the session SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.

"So, the SNSD believes that the situation in the RS is stable, that the economic and political situation is good, the government and coalition are functioning in accordance with the agreement, the opposition in the RS acts exclusively from the positions of its own policies which reflect neither the time nor the topic. We remain committed to strengthening the RS," said Dodik and added:

"The political position of the RS is undermined by the unauthorized and illegal interventionism of the High Representative and certain ambassadors. They are trying to create discord in the RS through their statements and operational activities. This is reflected in the fact that they often make statements qualifying the situation in the RS and BiH, all of which is not in accordance with conventions, and the effort to respect the sovereignty of the RS and BiH. All this has the hallmark of colonial activity, and is visible through the actions of the American and British ambassadors."

Dodik believes that the RS has the largest number of friends who understand it.

"Regarding the financial situation, the RS shows its vitality and ability, fulfilling its obligations. The RS is faced with a new practice of subversive activity when the US attempts to act against the RS through financial measures. The RS is entering the international and regional market, the SNSD believes that creditor confidence in the RS has increased. In the economic-financial sense, there is a measure that can be considered relevant. The SNSD considers the RS stable, secure and sustainable," believes Dodik.

As he says, regarding the BiH level, the issues represent the agreement we had.

"The SNSD is satisfied with the fact that within the Law on the HJPC, what we have been pushing for five years has been accepted. There is no basis for the Prosecutor's Office and Court of BiH, we must do everything to ensure that the RS suffers the least damage. The agreement we set, the SNSD and partners from the RS have implemented, in September we expect the resolution of the issue of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH. We want to see two acts, one on foreign judges and their departure, and the other regulating the work of the Constitutional Court," emphasizes the SNSD president.

He states that he hears there are some obstructions on this issue, but will not act until they face the practical behavior of the Troika.

"The SNSD believes that the situation in BiH is safe and stable, we accept the extension of the EUFOR Althea mandate, but we are against expanding its capacity and having soldiers of the United Kingdom in Althea. With partners in the Council of Ministers, we will define that they are forces that should prevent any conflict if it occurs, which I do not believe will happen. We will continue to coordinate on these issues, we reject any possibility of accepting Schmidt. Anything he decides or does is not binding for us, he cannot enter the institutions of the RS," noted Dodik.

Dodik also commented on today's cancellation of Schmidt's visit to the RS: "I see that he has given up coming to Banja Luka today, this can be useful in terms of understanding that he is not welcome here. Due to the current situation, destabilization is possible, and he is the one causing it, so we hope he will not do so. His role and shameful imposition should absolutely be rejected. His role and any activity are unacceptable," said Dodik.
