Dodik paid 200,000 KM for his son Igor's wedding

A wedding to remember was held on Saturday at the estate of Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik, in Bakinci near Laktaši, for his son Igor and his bride Ivana from Belgrade.

The celebration in a luxurious white tent, which gathered around 450 guests, started at 6 PM and lasted until dawn, reports RTV BN. The first man of the RS, happy to marry off his son, spared no expense for the "wedding of the year," as this event was called in the RS, and the celebration featured top musicians, delicious specialties of local and Mediterranean cuisine, and renowned Herzegovinian wines… A flask of rakija. The Dodiks spent around 200,000 marks on the wedding. They paid 45,000 marks for drinks alone, 20,000 for food, 5,000 for decorations, and 50,000 for music.

At the entrance to the white tent, Dodik welcomed numerous guests with a flask of rakija, among them the political and social elite of the RS, as well as guests from Serbia. Right next to him were his wife Snježana, daughter Gorica, and Igor's grandfather Bogdan. Happy and smiling, they toasted the guests. A flask of rakija was also in the grandfather's hand. "Cheers and welcome! Today is the happiest day of our lives - we are marrying off our Igor!" - the hosts said cheerfully. 

The wedding was accompanied by strong security measures. Police patrols were stationed on the access roads in Bakinci, and private security services were deployed within the estate. Before entering, guests passed through a metal detector gate. They were asked not to photograph the celebration or provide photos to the media. All guests were registered, and entry to the wedding was strictly by invitation. 

After the first hour of the party with the "Allegro band," the microphone was taken over by Aca Pejović, also hired at the request of the newlyweds, who, with his band and a three-hour music block, and with a little "help" from Ceca and Miroslav Ilić, ignited the atmosphere. After several hours of music, around midnight, a multi-tiered cake was brought into the hall, which the happy newlyweds cut with a kiss. After the dessert was distributed to the guests, the celebration continued late into the night.
