Dodik: SIPA cannot approach my door, I am the president

-We do not intend to call a referendum on the independence of Republika Srpska before the given deadline, which is 2017. I am not a separatist, I am only trying to ensure that Dayton is respected, said Milorad Dodik while appearing on Pressing on N1, as reported by the Patria news agency.

When asked whether he would call a referendum on the independence of RS if the referendum on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH passes, Dodik replied that it is a combination of circumstances and that by 2017 he will try to arrange BiH in accordance with Dayton and the interests of the three constituent peoples and two entities. 

He stressed that there will be no need for a status referendum if the referendum on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH is respected.

-That will mean that RS, Serbs are respected and that we can resolve matters. I call on all Bosniak political representatives to distance ourselves from the international community and reach an internal agreement. We need to jointly establish a Court that has the legitimacy of RS and Serbs.

Radončić and Izetbegović have agreed on a truce, and the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that this is a dangerous homogenisation of Bosniaks.

-I know that Vučić is a great friend of BiH, but also of Republika Srpska. I am for stability. I am not against the arrangement between Radončić and Izetbegović, although you know well that there is no harsh word they haven't exchanged. Still, I am interested in a stable FBiH.

He said that SNSD will enter state government only as a representative of RS.

-For BiH, it is best that everyone feels good in it. I want the interest of RS to be respected. Three years ago, I was interested in BiH obtaining EU candidate status and was ready to do everything, but others blocked that path. Now it does not depend on me.

-I am not a social case that someone needs to help me, Dodik replied when asked whether Dragan Čović would help him enter the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The President of RS said on Pressing that the Alliance for Change does not have the support of the people in RS.

-Mladen Ivanić is not the choice of the Serbian electorate, and it is written there that he is the Serbian member of the Presidency because Bosniaks in RS and the diaspora voted for him.

Many say that if he used his energy for the benefit of BiH, the country would be much better.

-Benefit is exclusively tied to the benefit of RS. And both BiH and Republika Srpska can be better. Let RS be respected, we will respect BiH, and that knot is untied.

Dodik said that the problem of Serbs and Bosniaks can only be solved through demarcation.

-All the years and history speak of that. Demarcation, not necessarily separation, so that no one imposes anything on anyone. That is the optimal story for both Serbs and Bosniaks. If that fails, then separation is also an option.

The Mayor of Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković, says it is easier for him to reach Vučić than Dodik. He said that in case of an attempt at secession of RS, including Srebrenica, it means a new war.

-Srebrenica is in RS and it will respect the decisions. I am not a war man, but I will fight for my political views, whether president or not, because I will not be the leader of RS for life.

57 percent of RS exports go to the EU, the least goes to Russia, while it imports the most from Russia. Dodik revealed on Pressing what the British ambassador once told him.

-A few years ago, the British ambassador angrily told me that there are only ten countries that would support the independence of RS. I asked which countries those were, so we could do it immediately.

When asked whether Serbia would support the independence of RS, Dodik said they haven't asked, but if it comes to that, they will seek support, although that is not EU policy.

-EU policy is not to have fences, nor Catalonia, Scotland, Bavaria... Belgrade knows that the political leadership in RS knows that it can only cooperate successfully, not be subservient. We were not subservient to foreigners or Inzko, nor should extreme Belgrade expect a subservient RS.

Bakir Izetbegović said that the predominantly Christian international community respects the views of Bosniaks because they are correct, while Dodik is not correct and harms RS.

-He is not tasked with speaking about RS. It would be good if we respected each other and each bore their own responsibility.

On one occasion, the leader of Republika Srpska stated that the greatest damage is that BiH survived in Dayton.

-We would live much better. There would be RS and FBiH. We would have the best possible relations so far, we would develop and respect each other."

Third-rate foreign officials practice on us 

Dodik's negative stance towards international officials in BiH is well known.

"Foreigners keep us here so that their third-rate officials can come and practice until they leave for urgent areas being created in the world. When the daily interference of the international factor in BiH's affairs is eliminated, we will move forward," he said.

"BiH is most denied by foreigners, who show that it is not an independent and sovereign country. They interfere every day and impose solutions. Let the agreement signed by the leaders of parties in BiH be implemented, and the foreigners said it was no good. If that is implemented, we will block the process towards NATO," said the president of the entity Republika Srpska.

I am not afraid of legal proceedings, I am afraid of scoundrels

-In the first Government, they raised 37 counts of indictment against me and there was no evidence. I am not afraid of any legitimate and legal proceedings, I am afraid of scoundrels. They are ready to do all sorts of things in life, and you know that," said Milorad Dodik.

When asked about the "mysterious" Russian gold that became a hot topic especially after Milorad Dodik denied receiving any gold at all, he said he has nothing to do with it.

-Russian gold is located all over the world and in Russia. You know that for years I have been challenging the Court and Prosecutor's Office in BiH from the standpoint of procedural establishment. I did not say they should not exist, but they are not doing their best. I will cooperate with the Court in Sarajevo so that there are no dilemmas, just so that no one says my struggle is directed at the Court and Prosecutor's Office. I will not allow embarrassment, and feel free, let them prove everything they have. These are all fabrications. In my family, you can find chains, rings, and maybe it can add up to a kilogram, said Dodik.

-I have no problem talking about it, but I have nothing to say. Imagine how meaningless my life would be if I were a loser, I earned everything through honest work. Everyone knows I earned everything. I am ready to be part of the process, just to prove my innocence, added Milorad Dodik.

I was richer during the war than now

When asked about his property and some claims that he actually owns property worth 600 million KM, he said he hides nothing.

-During the war, some money was lost; I was richer during the war than now. I declared in Belgrade property that I took on credit, which has not yet been paid off. That is effectively not my property. If I do not pay the last installment, the mortgage will be raised and it will be taken from me. Massive lawsuits have been brought against me and no one has ever proven anything. In the first Government, they raised 37 counts of indictment against me and there was no evidence, he said.
