Dodik met with Pope Francis

VATICAN, (Patria) - BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik met with Pope Francis in the Vatican.

Dodik told RTRS that he was satisfied with the meeting with the head of the Roman Catholic Church.

"We discussed important issues in Europe and the world. We concluded that it is very important to preserve stability and peace. We jointly expressed regret over the events in New Zealand and Sri Lanka," said Dodik.

He emphasized that they also discussed the support of Republika Srpska for the Catholic High School in Banja Luka, as well as the renovation of the Catholic church in Petrićevac, which is in its final stages.

"Cooperation with all religious communities is necessary, because that is how we can move forward," Dodik stated, NAP reports.

The President of the BiH entity of Republika Srpska was also accompanying Dodik. She emphasized that it was very important for her to be able to represent Republika Srpska and that she was honored to be in the delegation of the BiH Presidency Chairman.

"This visit is very important because what happens in the Vatican is followed by everyone," Cvijanović stated.
