The PDP parliamentary group requested a 30-minute break after a debate opened on the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. The DNS-NS-SRS parliamentary group proposed Nedeljko Čubrilović for the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.

Deputies of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska took the oath, after which the President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina Stjepan Mikić handed over certificates to the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, and Vice-Presidents Ramiz Salkić and Josip Jerković. They then took the oath.

Finally, at the constitutive session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, the Commission for Appointments was appointed, headed by Radovan Vuković. Members are Vukota Govedarica, Radovan Višković, Vesna Jungić, Slavko Dunić, Duško Ilić, Davor Šešić, Miroslav Brčkalo, and Nedeljko Milaković.

After that, there was another 15-minute break for the Commission to meet. The constitutive session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska began in Banja Luka, where it is expected to clarify who will form the parliamentary majority, writes the Patria News Agency.

15:11 SDS Parliamentary Group Requested a Break

After a three-hour debate, deputies went on a half-hour break, during which a meeting of party representatives would be held regarding the vote on appointing members of the Commission for Appointments.

Today, it will be known which bloc has 42 out of 83 deputies. SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, who will take the oath as President of Republika Srpska today, claims that the coalition led by his party has 42 votes, i.e., a narrow parliamentary majority secured.

However, sparks immediately flew at the session because they could not agree on the members of the Commission for Election and Appointments, which is supposed to propose the leadership of the Assembly. Deputies of the Alliance for Changes invoked a violation of the Rules of Procedure, and a break was requested.

Until the election of the new Assembly leadership, the session will be chaired by the oldest deputy, Ilija Stevančević from the SDS - PUP - SRS coalition. Stevančević also requested a break for consultations. Dragan Čavić, a deputy from the NDP, requested a vote on whether the Rules of Procedure had been violated, and the vote determined that there was no confirmation. 39 deputies voted that the Rules of Procedure had not been violated.

Čavić warned about Article 9 of the Rules of Procedure, which states: "if, based on the report of the election implementation body, by the Mandate and Immunity Committee, or during the debate, the regularity of the election of an individual national deputy is challenged regarding the verification of the mandate, a separate decision shall be made regarding that national deputy. When it is assessed that the regularity of the election of national deputies whose mandate is challenged needs to be examined in more detail, the decision on verification may be postponed until the next session of the National Assembly at the latest. A national deputy whose mandate is challenged, or whose mandate has not yet been verified in the case referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article, may attend the session and participate in the debate, but without the right to vote."
