Dodik: Referendum will be held if our demands are not accepted

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that a referendum on unconstitutional and anti-Serb judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina is inevitable if the demands of Republika Srpska are not met, and expressed gratitude to Russia, which openly supported the referendum, reports the Patria news agency.

-Radical reforms of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina are necessary. Our arguments are irrefutable, and we are very grateful to Russia, which openly supported the referendum. Moscow's stance must be respected! We are encouraged by such positions of Russia, which has always openly defended the position of Republika Srpska and, at the same time, pursued an objective and principled policy towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik said for “Večernje novosti”.

According to his words, Moscow's support is very significant and comes at the right time, because Republika Srpska is unjustifiably exposed to attacks by the international community due to the democratic decision on the referendum.

Dodik said he will continue intensive talks with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić about the referendum in Republika Srpska.

-Vučić presented his position on this issue to me. He told me what world officials he spoke with told him about everything. Srpska will never allow itself to create a problem for Serbia. We also expect a constructive approach from Belgrade and further support for Republika Srpska, Dodik emphasized.
