Dodik stated he will not respect Schmidt's decision: The Central Election Commission will likely ban us from running in the General Elections

(Patria) - The first-instance convicted president of the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik stated that the decision of High Representative Christian Schmidt on banning the financing of that party and United Srpska from the RS budget will not be applied in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but he expects that the Central Election Commission of BiH might ban these political parties from running in the upcoming General Elections because of it.

"This is a story we've seen before. That's how they completely dismantled the Serbian Democratic Party, which was a people's movement. They recognized that idea in us, and that's why they are doing this," Dodik assessed today in Banja Luka.

He claims he will not allow "such destruction of the party" and that the High Representative's decisions cannot be applied in RS based on the conclusions of the National Assembly of RS.

When asked by journalists how banks that transfer money to accounts will behave, Dodik did not answer specifically.

He questioned how it is possible to make a decision stating that no court has the right to review it.

"All parliamentary parties in Europe receive money from the budget. And nowhere is it a problem, only here. How is that possible?" Dodik asked.

He reminded that every parliamentary party in RS receives money from the budget in accordance with election results, and that SNSD receives the most.

The President of the National Assembly of RS, Nenad Stevandić, drew a parallel between the actions of Adolf Hitler and Christian Schmidt.

He stated that concentration camps were established in the same way and that the methodology of written documents is the same.

"Decisions made by the Führer could also not be challenged or debated by any court. Yesterday, such a small Nazi descendant wrote that a court cannot debate his decision. He is taking our property as the Führer took from the Jews… Only Hitler did that, and Schmidt is currently copying his methodology," Stevandić stated.

The High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, yesterday made a decision banning the financing of SNSD and US from the budget at all levels in BiH due to anti-Dayton activities and attacks on the constitutional and legal order of BiH.
