Dodik wrote to Schmidt: You are not the High Representative and you represent no one

(Patria) - RS President Milorad Dodik sent an open letter to the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt today.

You can read Dodik's letter below:

"Mr. Schmidt,

The Republika Srpska and I, as the President of the RS, respect the international community.

We have often disagreed with its attitude towards us, but we have also shown respect in our disagreements.

We respect the Dayton Agreement, authored by the United States of America with its partners.

We respect the BiH Constitution, authored by the United States of America with its partners.

We respect international treaties, rules, and procedures.

One of the procedures established by Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement also defines the method for electing the High Representative in BiH.

You have violated it.

You were not appointed according to that procedure.

You are not the High Representative.

You do not represent the international community in BiH, you do not represent the signatory parties to Annex 10, you represent no one.

Mr. Inzko was the High Representative.

Mr. Lajčak was.

Mr. Petritsch was.

Carl Bildt.

And I won't list further, they were elected and appointed.

You were not.

You are misrepresenting yourself and in doing so, you are compromising the international community in BiH and disgracing the German people.

At the same time, you are humiliating Serbs, Bosniaks, Croats, and all others living in BiH, by taking away the right from the representatives they elected to be the sole authorized body to pass laws.

You are turning BiH into a colony; instead of the Parliamentary Assembly, you pass laws, and then you impose a Law that protects you and punishes those who oppose your lawlessness.

You came to BiH unauthorized and you are threatening.

Today you are threatening me, tomorrow you will beat citizens in the streets of Sarajevo because you don't like how they look at you.

Mr. Schmidt, I greatly respect Bavaria, from which you come and which has much that the Republika Srpska defends today. Do not try to do in BiH what you yourself would not allow in Bavaria.

Putting aside the fact that you lack the legitimacy and right to do so, it is not humane!

And there are too many of you, you will not pass.

Murphy and his frustrations are in vain.

Your arrogance and threats, your false bravery are in vain. You will not pass!

Instead of threatening, secure a confirmation of your election from the signatory parties to Annex 10 and a relevant appointment resolution from the UN Security Council.

If you don't know, the UN Security Council headquarters is on the East River in New York, in that big building.

It is easy to get to and find.

But obviously, you cannot pass there, and therefore not here either."
