Dodik wrote to German Foreign Minister: We are fighting for the territorial integrity of BiH!?

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik emphasized that Heiko Maas, as the foreign minister of a country as important as Germany, did not bother to establish the factual situation regarding the causes and nature of the political crisis in BiH, which was his obligation, but instead formed his views based on rumors, making his public statements unserious.

Dodik is trying in every way to avoid the sanctions being prepared against him because he acts unconstitutionally and undermines the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"Honorable Minister, by interpreting incorrect information, you are doing an injustice to the Republika Srpska. You are also doing an injustice to your own country, which, like few others in the world, has the means and resources to learn about the facts in BiH and the current political crisis," Dodik stated in the letter addressed to Maas, adding that his recent statements prompted him to reach out.

The Serbian member of the Presidency explained to Maas that the crisis in BiH was not caused, as he claims, by "policies pursued in the Republika Srpska."

- The crisis is the result of the fact that the BiH Constitution has not been respected for 26 full years, and such unconstitutional behavior has led BiH into a dead end. Imagine if for just one day someone tried not to respect the German Constitution!? - Dodik wrote in the letter.

He emphasized that the Republika Srpska has advocated for peace all these years, because the war of the 1990s cost so much that it cannot afford new conflicts.

- Serbs, as a people from two world wars in which we and you were on opposite sides, survived genocide and ethnic cleansing from which we have not recovered to this day. Therefore, Honorable Minister, do not look for those who mention conflicts and invoke conflicts in the Republika Srpska - Dodik told the German minister and added:

- We are fighting for the territorial integrity of BiH and its external sovereignty, as written in the BiH Constitution, i.e., Annex 4 of the Dayton Agreement, and we are doing absolutely nothing that is not prescribed by the highest legal act in BiH. When you say that you will not sit idly by and that you will monitor, as you say, "irresponsible policy in the Republika Srpska," I must remind you that every time Germany did not sit idly by, Serbs in these areas lost a third of their population - Dodik concluded.
