Dodik achieved his goal: Špirić becomes Chairman of the OSA Oversight Commission

With the election of the chairman, as well as the first and second deputy chairmen, the Joint Commission for Supervision of the Work of the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina was constituted today in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Nikola Špirić was elected chairman of the Joint Commission for Supervision of the Work of the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bariša Čolak was elected first deputy chairman, and Safet Softić was elected second deputy chairman. Other members are Đorđo Krčmar, Mirsad Mešić, Sadik Ahmetović, Predrag Kožul, Damir Bećirović, Fahrudin Radončić, Ljilja Zovko, Sredoje Nović, and Darko Babalj.

We recall, when Nikola Špirić was proposed by the SNSD as a member of this commission, it caused a rift among parliamentarians, and many believe it is a conflict of interest because Špirić's son works in the OSA.

When asked by Patria's journalists whether it is true that his son works in this agency and whether he considers it a conflict of interest, Špirić said:

- Yes, he does, but that has nothing to do with it. Why hasn't the Commission for Conflict of Interest been established? - Špirić said earlier.
